About the Author
Leon Leyson fue uno de los miembros más jóvenes de La lista de Schindler. Él trae una perspectiva única a la historia del Holocausto y un poderoso mensaje de coraje y humanidad. Leon Leyson (born Leib Lezjon) was only ten years old when the Nazis invaded Poland and his family was forced to relocate to the Krakow ghetto. With incredible luck, perseverance, and grit, Leyson was able to survive the sadism of the Nazis, including that of the demonic Amon Goeth, commandant of Plaszow, the concentration camp outside Krakow. Ultimately, it was the generosity and cunning of one man, a man named Oskar Schindler, who saved Leon Leyson s life, and the lives of his mother, his father, and two of his four siblings, by adding their names to his list of workers in his factory a list that became world renowned: Schindler s List.

Es un libro que te atrapa desde la primera página, de muy fácil lectura. Es muy importante conocer la historia para entender el presente y sinceramente es bueno conocer esta etapa vergonzosa de Europa y del mundo pues hicieron muy poco, a mucho les resulto mas fácil mirar a otro lado e ignorar lo que ocurría y lo lamentable es que vemo que pasa de nuevo aunque no de la magnitud de lo que sufrieron los judios en la segunda guerra mundial porque en realidad la guerra fue para su exterminio. Por eso mismo es admirable que dentro del mismo nazismo salió quien se arriesgó su vida, fortuna por proteger a los que pudo.
Lo recomiendo como lectura obligatoria. Cinco estrellas para el excelente libro

Me encanto conocer la otra cara de la moneda, o sea uno de los ninos que vivio bajo la proteccion de Oscar... para quienes han leido la Lista de Schindler's o visto la pelicula, este libro complementa muy bien la historia de los judios en la epoca de Hitler...
Es un libro de una historia real, donde las emociones te invaden de ver las injusticias cometidas por este gran mostro de Hitler

Un relato muy bien tejido de una experiencia extrema, vivido bajo condiciones que comprometen tanto la vida misma como la salud psíquica del protagonista, de principio a fin el protagonista es un niño y logra conforme se convierte en adulto conciliar su pasado con su presente, para lanzarse al futuro esperando lo mejor porque sabe que no puede vivir nada peor de lo que vivió, uno de los mejores libros que he tenido la oportunidad de leer.

Frank N. Pieke is a Lecturer in Modern Politics and the Society of China at the University of Oxford, and is a Fellow of St Cross College. His previous publications include The Ordinary and the Extraordinary: An Anthropological Study of Chinese Reform and the 1989 People's Movement in Beijing (1996) and he was the co-author of Transnational Chinese: Fujianese Migrants in Europe (2004).
